In two separate, published research studies, the CHRISTUS Health team has illustrated the benefits seen across their enterprise with the implementation of secure texting, and the combination of single sign on (SSO) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). In review of their SSO initiative, results concluded that physicians saved approximately 26,301 hours of clinician login time, and $2.3 million over one year.
In this webinar, Healthcare Informatics visits with George Gellert, MD, Associate System Chief Medical Information Officer with CHRISTUS Health, as he shares the two ground-breaking research studies he has piloted on clinical workflow improvement around the EHR. Take a deep dive into the analysis and findings of both studies, as Dr. Gellert shares implementation methods, challenges, and physician responsiveness to both initiatives.
Learning Objectives:
- Present specifics behind the implementation process for secure texting, SSO and VDI initiatives
- Outline findings and data collected from research studies behind both initiatives, with a focus on physician time and overall cost to the health system
- Pose recommendations for strategic implementations in the future
